Cervical Medial Branch Block (MBB) - Lower

Cervical Medial Branch Block (MBB) - Lower A 52 year old lady complains of complex neck and head pain following a motor vehicle accident, 7 years earlier. A left C4/5, C5/6 and C6/7 facet joint or medial branch block is performed. This is a screening test to determine whether the pain may be of facet joint origin.

Statistically, the most likely cause of her ongoing neck pain is the C5/6 facet joint.
